International Travel and Covid Restrictions

INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS

Travelling to Israel entails a few safety measurements owing to the Covid pandemic.

Please see these instructions: https://corona.health.gov.il/en/abroad/arriving-foreign-nationals/.

Please read them carefully and be advised that these instructions are being updated from time to time (and have been changing for the better). As you’ll see in this link you will be required to take a PCR test 72 hours prior to your arrival, and then another test at the airport.

Currently travelers coming into the country are required to stay in a 24 hour quarantine or until results are received. It usually takes about 12 hours. There is a possibility that by May quick PCR tests will be available for you at the airport, but this information hasn’t been officially announced yet. If this happens results would then be received in about 4 hours.

After taking the test you can then travel to the hotel. You are required to stay there until you receive the test results.

We know that these measures might be burdening, but they are nonetheless important for the everyone’s safety.

As for the commute from the airport to the hotel there are a few very good options:

  • Nesher taxi: a pickup service that would take you directly to the hotel. Traveling fee – 70 NIS.
  • Train: a train ride from the airport to Jerusalem Navon train station. A ticket costs 17 NIS. Navon station is nearby the Jerusalem CBS, and you could take public transportation or a cab to your hotel.

COVID RESTRICTIONS

The JIBF regards the safety of all participants and attendees as a primary concern. Therefore all are required to adhere to any demands and/or requirements of the Israeli Minisrty of Health at the time.  In May we will specify here the current requirements.
