Gallimard is a literary publishing house with a strong focus on literature in translation.  It is an Independent, family-owned Publisher founded in 1911 by the present CEOs grand-father Gaston Gallimard. Its list includes Nobel-Prize authors such as JMG Le Clézio and Patrick Modiano, and best-selling authors such as Leila Slimani and Muriel Barbery. Backlist: Camus, Foucault, Sartre, Beauvoir etc. Gallimard has a beautiful list of Israeli authors (Amos Oz, Zeruya Shalev…).
